Air Charter

Air Charter Catering

In air charters, catered-meals are the perhaps most common amenity in flights of more than an hour. Some better equipped & larger jets usually accommodate onboard cooking. Aircraft smaller than 10-seat capacity cannot handle this. Advance coordination of this service is necessary for anything more complicated than drinks or coffee and doughnuts. But as you "own" the aircraft while you have it -- you are entitled to ask for something special!

A very important precaution is that bringing food onto an aircraft is not just another form of takeout. Just because quite a few hours can pass by between preparation and transportation to aircraft, reheating, and service at cruising altitude, meals that are treated like ordinary takeout can spoil and endanger the health of passengers and crew.

An good operator or broker will help you coordinate with an in-flight caterer who provides a meal of the finest taste and quality. Make sure that they are told of any dietary restrictions you have. If you are picking up your food from your favorite restaurant, let the caterers know if you will not be eating the food rightaway so the chef can plan your meal appropriately.

In-flight caterers also supply the services of event planners. If you, your business party or family is traveling around a holiday or a celebration, ask your caterer for some ways to make the trip special. Birthday-cakes, special activities and holiday decorations can be ordered ahead of your trip. Usually, with creative planning, your holiday celebration does not start when you reach your destination--but it begins just as you step on-board.
